InterTrader’s Web-Based Platform

InterTrader’s web-based trading platform offers no dealing desk  spread betting and CFD trading on forex. The user-friendly, sleek and easy to navigate browser-based platform offers access to thousands of trading markets, positions and a clear overview of your account. The highlights of the trading platform include:

  • Fast trade execution: after placing your trade, you  will receive on-screen confirmation within a couple of seconds. InterTrader offers 100% market-neutral execution, meaning they never carry any market risk against the trader.
  • No requotes & price improvement: always trade at the price you see in the ticket, which is constantly updated. Benefit from positive slippage in fast-moving markets, known as ‘price improvement.
  • Trade your way: InterTrader’s web-based platform is customisable. Forex traders can set up multiple watchlists or use the intelligent search box to find their preferred market. The platform also offers a full array of order types: set stop -loss and limit orders on any position, use a new order to open a new trading position automatically or set a trailing stop when the market moves in your favour.
  • Free trading tools: Forex traders on the web-based platform have free access to a range of news and research tools, such as charts from IT-Finance, Trading Central’s trading signals, automated technical analysis from Autochartist and a live audio news service from Livesquawk.

The new platform is divided into 5 main sections

1. Account information
2. Trading tools
3. Markets & prices
4. Quick Trade links
5. Your trading activity

At the top section you find all the information related to your account: Account number, balance, P&L, trading resources, margin in use and account valuation. Use the Deposit button to fund your account via credit card, bank transfer and skrill or to request a withdrawal. The same information can be accessed from the drop-down menu “My Account” on the right hand side. To switch between SpreadBet and CFD mode use the drop down menu.

In this section we provide you access to our integrated suite of news, analysis and research tools:

We have Real-time audio news and commentary covering all markets. Subscribe to our daily market brief or take a look at our Economic calendar. We also provide Daily Forex strategy, weekly outlook & video summaries.

Within our analysis section you will find investment research from leading provider Trading Central as well as fundamental analysis for UK stock, index and sector analysis. And not forgetting our heat maps, our trading signals section will give you expert recommendations from Trading Central.

To navigate through the markets, use the menu tree. Alternatively you can use the Search box to find specific instruments. In the main section you can see the Sell and Buy prices, the change for the day, as well as the high and the low of the day.


Platform Watchlists

To organize your favourite markets into watchlists, click on Watchslists, and add your name to your watchlist. Use this arrow to add a market in the watchlist of your choice. Unlike the old platform, you can now create multiple watchlists to optimize your trading experience. You can switch between the watchlists using the drop down menu.

You can choose between the quick charts and the advanced charts to follow the price movement of an instrument.

To place a trade click on the Trade button. First set the stake size. At this point you can execute the trade by clicking on either the buy or sell button , alternatively you may set the distance of a stop-loss order as well as associate a limit order, opt in for a guaranteed stop or set a trailing stop. Once your trade has been accepted, you will receive an on-screen confirmation of your new position followed by an email.

To place a new order click on the Order button. Either on the ticket or on the platform. Start by specifying the trade direction the size and the desired entry level. You may set an expiry rule. You can see your active orders under Opening orders at the bottom window.

Use the arrow menu to open a trade ticket, place an order, open the standard charts, access the advanced charts for free, tear off the chart window, remove a market from the watchlist or get information about the selected market. Switch to one-click trading view to place trades fast. Use the Quick trading section for fast access to your favourite markets by adding your watchlists.


Monitor Trading Activity

To close a trade, find your position at the bottom under Open Positions and click Close. To amend your stop or limit order, click on the Amend button in the same section. Use the bottom section to monitor your trading activity.

Under the open position panel you can observe the current open positions. Unlike the old platform, you can now see the stop and limit levels in the same row.

Select Aggregated to see an aggregated view of multiple positions for the same instrument. To check your active orders, click on Opening Orders.

To review your account history, click on Statement or go to Order history to download a record of up to the last 90 days. To review a journal of all actions related to the account, click the Account activity tab.
